Nigerian music producer ID Cabasa has hailed Mavin Records CEO Don Jazzy as one of the smartest figures in the Nigerian music industry.

Cabasa credited Don Jazzy’s strategic decision to collaborate with content creators, particularly skitmakers, as a game-changing move that has strengthened his influence within the entertainment industry.

“Don Jazzy’s genius move was connecting with content creators in a way that ensures their support. Anytime he releases something, they all promote it,” Cabasa stated during a panel discussion.

ID Cabasa encouraged emerging artistes to follow Don Jazzy’s example by forming meaningful partnerships with skitmakers and other digital creators to amplify their reach and influence.

He pointed to Kizz Daniel as another artiste who has successfully cultivated strong ties with the content creator community, further boosting his popularity.

The music producer also discussed his own experiences working with Gen Z creatives, noting their wealth of inspiration. “I work a lot with Gen Z because they are full of inspiration, while people from my set have the experience,” he shared.
