Cardi B welcomes third child weeks after filing for divorce from Offset

American hip-hop star, Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar popularly known as Cardi B has announced the arrival of her  third child with Offset, her estranged husband.

This announcement is coming weeks after she filed for divorce from Migos rapper.

In a recent Instagram post, the ‘I Like It’ rapper revealed she welcomed her bundle of joy on September 7.

In accompanying photos, the 31-year-old is seen smiling with her baby in her arms in a hospital bed while wearing a colorful robe.

In one of the pictures, Offset is spotted cradling the baby. Another photo shows their two kids, Wave, 3, and Kulture, 6, holding their new sibling.

“The prettiest lil thing 9/7/24 ,” Cardi wrote.

Last month, the rapper revealed she was expecting her third baby.

“With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you, you have brought me more love, more life and most of all renewed my power!” she wrote.

Cardi and Offset tied the knot in 2017. They welcomed their first child Kulture in 2018 and their second child Wave in 2021. Their marriage has hit the rocks on different occasions.

The couple broke up in 2020 after Cardi B filed for divorce over allegations of infidelity. They eventually reconciled.

A representative of Cardi B confirmed that the Grammy-winning rapper is seeking primary custody of their children, son Wave Set, 2, and daughter Kulture Kiari, 6, in the divorce filing, according to American outlet, People.

In June 2023, Cardi B publicly blasted Offset after he claimed she cheated on him.

Offset also accused Cardi B of infidelity in the past.
