Gunfire won’t stop Trump: ‘I am safe, I will never surrender!’

Former President Donald Trump has assured supporters that he is “safe and well” after a security scare at his South Florida golf course earlier on Sunday.

In a fundraising email, Trump addressed the incident, stating, “There were gunshots in my vicinity, but before rumors start spiraling out of control, I wanted you to hear this first: I AM SAFE AND WELL!”

The former president emphasized his resilience, adding, “Nothing will slow me down. I will NEVER SURRENDER! I will always love you for supporting me.”

The incident occurred while Trump was at his golf course, though no further details were provided.

Despite the scare, Trump used the opportunity to reassure his base of his safety and determination to continue his political journey.

Earlier, authorities in Florida apprehended a suspect believed to be connected to Sunday’s security incident at Trump International Golf Course in West Palm Beach.

According to CNN, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the arrest through a Facebook post, detailing that a vehicle was stopped and the individual was taken into custody.

According to the sheriff’s office, the suspect was detained along a stretch of Interstate 95, near State Route 714 in Martin County, which is located just north of Palm Beach County, where the incident occurred.

As a precaution, a section of the highway has been temporarily shut down.

“We will update this information as it becomes available,” the sheriff’s office said, indicating that more details are expected to be released soon.
