Ahead of Saturday’s gubernatorial election in Edo State, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Thursday morning commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the various local government areas of the state.
The distribution process was being done in the premises of the Central Bank of Nigeria, located at the Ring Road, by Akpakpava Junction.
Scores of commercial buses hired by the Commission were seen line up at the bank’s side of the road.
Also, hundreds of journalists, both prong and electronics, besieged the venue.
The State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Onuoha Anugbum, confirmed the development to P.M. News inside the Central Bank.
“Yes, we are here, we have commenced the distribution of sensitive materials to the local government areas,” he said.
