Popular content creator turned singer, Nasiru Bolaji Lawal better known as Nasboi has made his musical debut with a new extended play titled ‘In Nasboi I Trust’.
The 9-track EP was released across various streaming platforms on Thursday.
The project features a star-studded lineup, including 2Baba, Chike, Falz, Pheelz, Wande Coal, and Joeboy.
Tracks on the EP include ‘Ajo’, ‘Could This Be Love’, ‘Small Money’, ‘Ashewo Boy’, ‘Short Skirt’, ‘Confession’, ‘No Be So’, ‘My Love’ and ‘Umbrella’.
Nasboi gained fame through his comedic talents, particularly for his viral video mimicking Davido, the Grammy-nominated music star, which quickly catapulted him to stardom.
In a recent interview, Nasboi opened up on how lucrative social media influencing and skitmaking is.
The skit maker said because of the lucrativeness of the creative industry, he thought popular skit makers like Sydney Talker were into internet fraud until he joined the industry.
Appearing on the Bahd And Boujee Podcast co-hosted by reality star Tolanibaj and actress Moet Abebe, he said many people still accuse skit makers and influencers of fraud because they don’t know how lucrative the creative industry is.
Since then, he has kept audiences entertained with his humorous skits, while gradually branching into music.
His musical journey took off with the release of his debut single ‘Umbrella’ in November 2023, featuring Wande Coal.
The track became an instant hit, inspiring the viral “Umbrella Challenge” on social media.
Building on that momentum, Nasboi dropped ‘Small Money’, produced by Deeyassobeatz.
In July, Nasboi won the ‘Force of Virality’ award at this year’s Trendupp Awards.
