Nicki Minaj shuts down rumours of Beyoncé diss

Trinidadian rapper Nicki Minaj has shut down rumours suggesting she recently threw shade at Grammy-winning artist Beyoncé.

The rumour arose after Minaj posted, and subsequently deleted, a cryptic tweet referring to an unnamed person as a “Robot on timing.”

While Minaj did not specify who the comment was directed at, some fans quickly linked it to Beyoncé.

The rumours were fueled by recent reports of tension between Minaj and Beyoncé’s husband, Jay-Z, after the rapper allegedly disagreed with his decision to choose Kendrick Lamar as the headliner for the Super Bowl halftime show over her former label boss, Lil Wayne.

“Nicki Minaj called Beyoncé a Robot,” a social media user claimed, causing the allegations to spread rapidly online.

However, Minaj wasted no time addressing the matter.

In a direct response to the accusation in a social media comment, she firmly stated, “This is an absolute lie,” putting an end to the rumour.
