Indigenous rapper Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, popularly known as Reminisce, has released his highly anticipated extended play (EP) ‘Sui Generis’.

Sui generis is a Latin phrase that means “of its/their own kind” or “in a class by itself”, therefore “unique”.

The music star announced the project’s release via social media on Friday.

The seven-track EP features a lineup of talented artistes, including Vector, Bad Boy Timz, Logos Olori, Bard Banks, BhadBoi OML, Easyscope, and Lucid.

The tracks in ‘Siu Generis’ include ‘Kupe,’ ‘Ire,’ ‘Up As F**k,’ ‘The Ultimate,’ ‘Owo,’ ‘Scopatumana,’ and ‘Backshots.’

Born Remilekun Khalid Safaru, Reminisce is celebrated for his versatility as a singer, rapper, songwriter, and actor.

Hailing from Ogun state, Reminisce delivers his art in both English and Yoruba, his native language.

Since making waves with his 2008 rap verse on 9ice’s ‘Gongo Aso’ album, the rapper has remained a key figure in the Nigerian music scene.

His early singles, ‘Ever Since’ and ‘If Only,’ catapulted him into the spotlight, as well as his acting debut in the Kemi Adetiba’s  directed film ‘King of Boys’.

He has received several awards and recognitions for his craft.

In 2014, Time magazine recognised him as one of the “Seven World Rappers You Should Meet”.

He is also the founder of Les Roses Rouge (LRR) Records.
