Big Brother Naija reality star, Victoria Iye, popularly known as Vee, has stirred online conversations after sharing her critical views about supporters of Nigeria’s current government, led by President Bola Tinubu, and controversial activist, VeryDarkMan, also known as VDM.
In a video posted on her TikTok account, Vee openly expressed her frustration, stating that anyone supporting either the Tinubu administration or VDM is in need of “mental evaluation.”
“Personally, I’m judging anybody that supports the current Nigerian government. I’m also judging supporters of VDM,” Vee stated, adding, “If you say something stupid or defend the wrong thing, I’m cutting you off.”
Vee stressed that she does not believe in individuals taking on the role of “freedom fighters” for Nigerians, pointing out that she views it as a collective responsibility.
She specifically criticized VDM, saying, “I think everybody should be involved. And I definitely don’t think it should be VDM doing it.”
Touching briefly on the ongoing legal drama involving human rights lawyer Femi Falana and his son, rapper Falz, against VDM, she said, “I don’t have much to say about the Falz versus VDM issue, by the way. They say he [Falz] is going to court. Lovely.”
The controversy stems from claims made by VDM, suggesting that Falana and his son helped secure a “soft landing” for controversial cross-dresser Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, during his jail sentence.
Falana and Falz have since given VDM a 24-hour ultimatum to retract the allegations, with Falz’s sister, Folakemi Falana, threatening legal action should VDM refuse to comply.
VDM, however, has denied defaming the Falana family, fueling further discussion and public attention on the matter.
“Anybody defending VDM is not somebody I want to have a conversation with”
