U.S. President Joe Biden announced that his administration has provided more than $137 million in individual assistance to communities impacted by Hurricane Helene.
In a message shared via Twitter, Biden emphasised his commitment to supporting those in need, stating, “My Administration will continue to do whatever it takes to help those that need it most.”
He said to date, the federal response to the hurricane victims has included the distribution of over 14.9 million meals and more than 13.9 million liters of water to those affected.
“My Administration will continue to do whatever it takes to help those that need it most.
“To date, we have delivered more than $137 million in Individual Assistance, more than 14.9 million meals and over 13.9 million liters of water to those affected by Hurricane Helene,” Biden tweeted.
The president’s announcement underscores the administration’s dedication to swift recovery efforts, ensuring that essential resources reach individuals and families grappling with the aftermath of the disaster.
