Nollywood actor and producer Yomi Fabiyi has revealed a threatening message sent to a neighbour of the late Nigerian singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad.

The message, which Fabiyi claims was received on September 11, 2024, threatened the lives of the neighbour and his children, making it clear that they were being watched and that their car plate number was known.

Fabiyi, who has been vocal about seeking justice for Mohbad, disclosed that the threatening message was sent shortly before he and the neighbour were scheduled to meet with the technician responsible for the CCTV in Mohbad’s house.

The CCTV footage was expected to shed more light on the events leading up to the singer’s death.

According to Fabiyi, the late singer’s house had active CCTV cameras installed in various locations, including the staircase, living room, kitchen, backyard, and front gate.

He claimed that individuals in the house were aware of what transpired and that the footage from the cameras could provide crucial details.

Fabiyi also mentioned that more footage from neighboring houses could offer overwhelming evidence.

In a strong message to the authorities, Fabiyi declared that justice for Mohbad is non-negotiable.

He warned that if the police and the government chose to cover up the case by allowing more deaths, it would be up to Nigerians to demand accountability. He expressed his concerns for his own safety, stating that he is currently in hiding, even while abroad, as a result of threats to his life.

“My free movement is temporarily taken,” Fabiyi shared. “I am on the run because they want to assassinate me for exercising my fundamental rights.”

He went on to accuse several individuals, including an actress, a transport union worker, a top police officer, and state officials, of being involved in the plot against him.

Despite the danger, Fabiyi remained defiant, insisting that justice would prevail.

“Justice for Mohbad! Aluta Continua!” he concluded.
