The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has airlifted relief materials provided by the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu to victims of the recent Borno flood.
Director of NAF Public Relations and Information, Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, disclosed this in a statement.
The statement said: “The relief supplies, donated by the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, under the Renewed Hope Initiative, were airlifted by the NAF’s C-130 Hercules aircraft from Abuja to Maiduguri.”
According to Akimboyew, the materials included food items, clothing, sanitary essentials, and toys for children.
The statement said the relief materials were received by senior NAF officers, led by the Air Component Commander, Operation Hadin Kai. They were stewards handed over over to the Borno State Government for distribution to the victims.
