The police in Niger State have confirmed the death of a yet-to-be-identified man, who reportedly died after an alleged marathon sexual encounter at the Paiko Local Government Area lodge.
In a statement issued on Thursday, the police spokesman, SP Wasi’u Abiodun, provided details surrounding the incident, which took place on October 15 around 8:50 PM.
According to Abiodun, the man visited the lodge with a woman and subsequently collapsed, prompting immediate medical assistance.
“He was rushed to a nearby medical facility in Paiko, where he was pronounced dead,” Abiodun stated, adding that the circumstances surrounding the death are currently under investigation, pending the results of a medical autopsy.
The police are actively working to locate the deceased man’s relatives, as he was found without any means of identification or a phone.
This has complicated efforts to notify family members about the incident.
The guest house, situated within the popular market area of Paiko, is frequented by traders and travelers seeking lodging.
Recall that a retired employee of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) has died during an alleged sex romp with two teenagers in Akwa Ibom State in 2021. Another man named Abiodun Akintomowo lost his life after allegedly having a sex romp with a woman suspected to be his girlfriend, in a hotel located in the Akinjagunla area of Ondo Town earlier this year.
