Lagos to hold strategic management meeting with MDAs

The Lagos State Ministry of Justice (MOJ) is set to host a two-day Strategic Management Meeting aimed at enhancing collaboration and law enforcement coordination among various Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) in the state.
Scheduled for the 23rd and 24th of October 2024, the event will take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Isaac John Street, GRA Ikeja, Lagos.
A statement issued by Mrs. Grace Alo, Director, Public Affairs,Lagos State Ministry of Justice, said the meeting would provide a platform for in-depth discussions on improving prosecution processes, ensuring compliance with legal protocols, and addressing ongoing law enforcement challenges.
Key stakeholders, including representatives from the Nigerian Police, Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nigerian Correctional Service, and other relevant agencies, will participate.
The event will open with remarks from the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, alongside Lagos State Governor Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu.

On the second day, discussions will turn to land administration and environmental management, with participation from agencies such as the Lands Bureau, NTDA, and LASEPA.
The session will focus on harmonizing MDA operations to enhance service delivery and reduce liabilities. There will also be a session on Chieftaincy Matters and the future of Local Government Administration, with the Oba of Lagos or his representative delivering the keynote address.
Lagos State Attorney General, Mr. Lawal Pedro SAN, emphasized the importance of the meeting in aligning the Ministry’s objectives with Governor Sanwo-Olu’s THEMES PLUS AGENDA, stating: “This meeting will help us enhance our enforcement strategies and streamline legal processes across sectors, ensuring better coordination and efficiency.”
