Revelations surfaced that a call made by U.S. President Joe Biden to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu had led to the release of a Binance Executive, Tigran Gambaryan.

Gambaryan had been facing trial on money laundering charges from the Nigerian government when the case was suddenly dropped, allowing his release.

Nigeria’s Foreign Affairs Minister, Yusuf Tuggar, who briefed journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, said the two leaders spoke for about 30 minutes.
