Trump unleashes fury on Harris over false claims on ACA, Social Security
Quick Read
Harris has previously voiced concerns that a potential return of Trump to office could undermine public welfare programs, pointing to past Republican proposals to roll back or reduce ACA and Social Security benefits.
Former President Donald Trump has lashed out at U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris, accusing her of making false claims about his stance on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and Social Security.
In a social media post on X (formerly Twitter), Trump referred to Harris as “Lyin’ Kamala” and asserted that he has never supported ending the ACA or Social Security.
He described her statements as “made-up fiction,” aimed, he suggested, at countering a decline in her support.
“She is the one that wants to end Social Security and… will do it by putting the millions of migrants coming into our Country into it,” Trump posted.
He claimed that Harris’ assertions were entirely fabricated, suggesting that she’s resorting to these accusations due to “losing, and losing BIG.”
Harris has previously voiced concerns that a potential return of Trump to office could undermine public welfare programs, pointing to past Republican proposals to roll back or reduce ACA and Social Security benefits.
Trump, however, denies any such intentions, framing Harris’s comments as a strategy to bolster her own political standing.
In another post, Trump attacked Harris, accusing her of spreading falsehoods. Trump stated, “Just watched Kamala’s Fake News Conference – ALL LIES!”
He went on to suggest that Harris is “desperate” and criticized her appearance, saying, “more importantly, she looks totally EXHAUSTED!”
Trump, who is gearing up for the 2024 presidential race, indicated that Harris should consider stepping back from campaigning.
“She should rest now, and leave the campaigning to me!” he declared, underscoring his confidence in his own campaign efforts.
The former president’s remarks come as both parties ramp up their efforts ahead of the upcoming election, with healthcare and economic issues at the forefront of discussions.
Harris has yet to respond to Trump’s allegations, but her recent statements have sparked a renewed debate about the effectiveness and direction of the current administration.
