In a demonstration of their commitment to the mantra “promise made, promise kept,” the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO), led by Chairman Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, presented star prizes to the winners of the raffle draw held during the Gala Night of the recently concluded 2024 National Women’s Conference.
The awards ceremony took place at the First Lady’s Banquet Hall in Ikeja. Among the notable prizes, Mrs. Adesola Alao received the keys and documents to a brand-new two-bedroom apartment at LagosHoms, Iponrin, Surulere.
Mrs. Adebukola Oguntade was awarded the keys to a GAC SUV.
Additionally, Dr. Gbemisola Saibu, the winner of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s empowerment fund, was represented by her son as she was unable to attend. She received a transfer of N10 million.
Furthermore, Mrs. Shukurat Otuniyi and Mrs. Fausat Idowu, winners of return tickets to Zanzibar, Doha, and Qatar, were each awarded cheques of N2.5 million.
The event was attended by Mrs. Oluremi Hamzat, the Deputy Governor’s wife and Vice Chairman of COWLSO, along with several top government officials, including Commissioner for Housing Hon. Moruf Akinderu-Fatai, PS Housing Mr. Abdulhafiz Toriola, PS in the Office of the Chief of Staff Mr. Semiu Kadri, and PS for Local Government and Community Affairs Mrs. Kikelomo Bolarinwa, as well as other COWLSO members.
