Former President Donald Trump kicked off his Arizona rally with a renewed focus on his longstanding, unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter fraud in the U.S.
Addressing a crowd of supporters, Trump revisited his 2020 loss to President Joe Biden, framing it as an outcome marred by “cheating” and declaring that he won “millions and millions more votes” than in his 2016 victory over Hillary Clinton.
“It spurred me on to run for a third time,” Trump added, without conceding his 2020 defeat, a race he lost by nearly seven million votes.

With his sights set on the 2024 election, Trump asserted that he will secure a win “if we can keep that cheating down,” calling it the key to “a tremendous victory” that could stand out as “one of the greatest victories of all time.”

However, he provided no evidence to support these claims of interference, despite repeated investigations that have found no basis for widespread voter fraud in the last election.

Trump’s rally, aimed at energising his base in Arizona, underscored his commitment to revisiting themes of election security as he ramps up his campaign efforts.
