Donald Trump is set to win the U.S. Presidency after triumphing in the battleground states and leads Vice President Kamala Harris massively in both electoral college and popular votes.
Trump has already declared victory as he addressed supporters on Wednesday.
Trump pledged a renewed era of American restoration, asserting that his re-election would “help this country heal.”
According to CNN projections, Trump now requires only four more electoral votes to clinch the presidency, though the race remains uncalled as votes continue to be counted in several key states.
“We have a country that needs help, and it needs help very badly,” Trump declared to his supporters at a convention center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
He assured his followers of decisive actions to strengthen the nation, stating, “We’re going to fix our borders and we’re going to fix everything about our country.”
Trump’s speech highlighted what he described as an extraordinary political journey, saying, “It’s now clear that we’ve achieved the most incredible political thing… look what happened, is this crazy?”
His remarks were met with cheers from a crowd that included his family, his wife, Melania Trump, as well as key allies, including running mate JD Vance and House Speaker Mike Johnson.
In a promise of dedication, Trump vowed to work tirelessly for Americans every day, envisioning a “golden age of America” marked by unity and strength. His comments signal an ambitious agenda should he secure the necessary electoral votes in the final stages of the count.
Trump’s remarks were updated to reflect his ongoing commitment to his supporters and his pledge to tackle the challenges facing the nation head-on.
Trump won the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina, shrinking Kamala Harris’ possible paths to victory.
