The Premier League’s two most successful London clubs will clash at Stamford Bridge on Sunday for their 175th league encounter.
Chelsea, following a 1-0 defeat at Newcastle, leapfrogged Arsenal into 4th place after their 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last week.
With two losses in their last three Premier League matches, a defeat to Chelsea could leave Arsenal 10 points behind the league leaders after 11 matches.
Chelsea, fresh off an 8-0 thrashing of FC Noah in the Conference League, enter the match in high spirits, while Arsenal travel after suffering consecutive defeats, including a 2-1 loss to Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday.
The match kicks off live at 5:30 pm on Sunday, available on DStv channel 203 and GOtv channel 66.
Recent encounters between the two clubs have favoured Arsenal, with six wins and two draws from their last ten league meetings. In last season’s corresponding fixture, Arsenal came from 2-0 down to draw.
Chelsea’s Cole Palmer is a doubt for the match after picking up an injury against Manchester United, while Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard is expected to make his full return after a two-month injury absence.
In Serie A, top-of-the-table Inter Milan will host league leaders Napoli on Sunday at 8:45 pm, live on DStv channel 208 and GOtv channel 64.
