Canadian recognition has been added to the 2024 big wins for Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli.
She was presented with a certificate of recognition from Brampton’s Mayor Patrick Brown in Ontario, Canada, in celebration of her impactful work on her latest cinema release, The Uprising.
Taking to Instagram, Oboli shared a video of the memorable occasion, expressing her excitement and gratitude for the warm reception she received at the mayor’s office.
In her post, Oboli revealed that several members of Mayor Brown’s office had seen The Uprising in Canadian cinemas, stirring excitement within the city for a special grand screening of the movie.
“Brampton is a vibrant community in Ontario, Canada, and I’m so thrilled to partner with Brampton,” she wrote, adding her thanks to Mayor Brown and acknowledging collaborators who supported her on the project.
