VIDEO: DSS apprehends alleged vote buyer in Ondo
A yet-to be identified man has been arrested with two “Ghana must go bags” believed to contain money he intended to use to buy votes in the ongoing Ondo governorship election.
The suspected vote buyer was arrested at Ward 4, Polling Unit 007, near St. Stephen’s Primary School in Akure, the state capital by operatives of the Department of State Services, according to Channels Televisio.
In a video posted on the television station’s X handle, DSS officers were seen as they forced the man to open the booth of his car where the two bags were hidden. A Cutlass was also discovered in the booth of the car.
He was subsequently taken away in a bus belonging to the DSS. The DSS has not issued any official statement on the arrest of the suspected vote buyer.
