Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk says Victor Osimhen does not have the intention of leaving the club until the end of the season.
Buruk who was speaking at press conference on Sunday, said although the Nigerian striker’s loan from Napoli to the Turkish club, has an exit clause in the January transfer window, he does not wish to leave then.
“Osimhen has the intention of staying here until the end of the season. He also wants to stay; he said the same thing at the beginning.
“There is a clause there, but it doesn’t matter; he said he will stay. There is a clause about transfers in January. This clause has different things.
“The important thing is the player. The player who decides. That’s why Osimhen says he will stay here. He said the same thing when he came.
“If the player wants to stay, Galatasaray will do whatever it takes to keep him, even if it means pushing the limits financially. While an immediate transfer seems unlikely, a move could happen at the end of the season,” he said.
Osimhen who has netted eight goals and provided four assists in nine appearances for Galatasaray, is well loved by the fans.
