Malik Abdul DMW, son of the late Obama DMW, a close associate of music star Davido, has expressed huge gratitude and love for the singer as he celebrates his 32nd birthday today.
In an emotional Instagram post, Malik reflected on the strong support Davido extended to him after his father’s passing, describing the singer as a father figure and a man of his word.
He revealed how Davido had promised to stand by him during one of the most challenging moments of his life and has consistently kept that promise, offering him unconditional love and guidance.
“Keeping a promise is one of the hardest things in life, yet you promised to help me since I lost my father, and you never rejected me,” Malik wrote. He added that Davido’s words and actions embody the kind of love a father should show a son.
Malik reminisced about a day he felt utterly broken but found solace and strength after speaking with Davido. “He didn’t just solve my issue; he spoke to me like a father,” he recalled.
The young man praised Davido for his humility, talent, and ability to touch lives with his smile.
Referring to the global superstar as his “father’s friend,” Malik prayed for God’s blessings upon Davido’s life.
“Happy birthday to a legend, a humble-hearted man, a gifted and talented soul. Almighty Father, please bless him with your love, grace, and mercy,” Malik wrote.
