Litigants at the Tinubu Magistrate’s Court have called on the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Justice Kazeem Alogba, to urgently address the water scarcity caused by a broken-down pumping machine at the court premises.

The affected individuals, including magistrates, court workers, and litigants, have reportedly endured two weeks without water for essential use, such as in the restrooms.

Those who spoke to PM NEWS expressed their frustration and appealed to the Chief Judge to instruct the appropriate authorities to repair or replace the faulty equipment to avoid further water scarcity.

Speaking at the court, a litigant, Mr John Adoghe, commended Justice Alogba for his contributions to infrastructure development in the Lagos Judiciary but urged him to swiftly resolve the issue to prevent tarnishing these achievements.

“I appeal to the Chief Judge to direct the necessary agency to fix the broken pumping machine immediately. This situation has made it extremely difficult for court users to access basic restroom facilities for weeks,” Adoghe said.

He further added that resolving the matter would restore convenience to the court environment and uphold the high standards associated with the Lagos Judiciary.

Litigants also believe the Chief Judge may not have been informed of the situation, prompting their public plea for a swift resolution.
