Former Kogi governor Yahaya Bello, was on Wednesday morning bought to Federal Capital Territory High Court in Abuja for the hearing on alleged N110 billion fraud preferred against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
EFCC had detained Yahaya Bello, after he presented himself before the anti-graft agency on Tuesday.
Bello is being prosecuted by the agency over alleged fraud when he served as governor of the north-central state.
EFCC Spokesperson, Dele Oyewale said the former governor of Kogi was at the EFCC at about 12 54 p.m on Tuesday and was detained in its Abuja office.
He said that Bello, who was declared wanted by the commission, is with his lawyers.
”He is having a session with investigators of the commission.
”He is being detained in our custody and he is going to be arraigned in court accordingly.”
