Popular media personality and Instagram blogger, Tosin Silverdam, has opened up about his journey of self-acceptance, revealing how he almost became another controversial figure in the media, Bobrisky, but was saved by God’s intervention.
In an emotional Instagram post, Tosin shared a throwback photo and expressed gratitude for his growth, stating that he almost followed a similar path to Bobrisky’s but was stopped by God’s guidance.
Reflecting on his past, he revealed the struggles he faced growing up, particularly due to his feminine appearance. He shared that these experiences led to a low sense of self-worth, exacerbated by sexual abuse and harassment from several figures in his life, including a neighbor, a teacher, and a minister at his church.
Tosin further explained that he once hated his appearance and struggled with self-esteem issues. However, over time, he realized that he had the power to change things about himself.
His journey toward self-improvement saw him embrace physical fitness, often sharing his gym routines, and even undergoing surgery to remove breast tissue.
Despite the physical changes, Tosin admitted that he still battles with some lingering female mannerisms but has learned to embrace them as part of who he is.
He concluded his post with a message of a saying, “Mehn ko easy, one thing I’m battling with now is my female mannerisms, which I’ve given up already. This is who I am.”
