Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 24 people suspected to be involved in internet fraud in Lokoja, the capital of Kogi State.
The suspected fraudsters were arrested by EFCC operatives from the Abuja Zonal Directorate of the anti-graft agency, Dele Oyewale, the spokesperson for the Commission said in a statement.
According to the statement, three cars, 30 exotic phones and six laptops were recovered from the suspect.
“They were arrested on Friday, December 6, 2024 at Lokoja, Kogi State following credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet-related offences.
“Items recovered from them include 30 phones, 6 laptops and 3 cars.
“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded,” Oyewale said in the statement.
