Nigerian rapper Emeka Akumefule, widely known as Blaqbonez, has shared intimate details about his upbringing, revealing that his father abandoned him at birth.
Speaking in an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, Blaqbonez opened up about the absence of his father in his life.
“My dad kind of dipped when I was born, so he wasn’t there. I wasn’t raised by my dad,” he disclosed during the emotional chat.
Despite his challenging background, Blaqbonez has risen to prominence in the music industry, making bold claims about his place in African hip-hop.
The rapper declared himself “the best rapper in Africa,” stating that no other African artiste has a discography to rival his.
His talent has not gone unnoticed. Last year, award-winning Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae praised Blaqbonez, calling him “the best rapper in Nigeria.”
