Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has sworn in Alhaji Abdulkadir Mamman Nasir as the new Chief of Staff.
Speaking at the event, Governor Radda said Abdulkadir, a former member of the House of Representatives (2007-2011) and former State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, (APC), is expected to bring a robust track record of public service to the critical role.
Alhaji Abdulkadir was until his new appointment, the Managing Director of Katsina State Irrigation Development Authority.
His previous leadership positions also include serving as Chairman of Malumfashi Local Government Area, Special Adviser on Empowerment and Team Leader of the N2 billion CBN MSMDEDF State SPV in Katsina.
The inauguration ceremony held at the State Council Chambers also witnessed the swearing-in of three Special Advisers: Alhaji Mustapha Bala Batsari (Market Development); Alhaji Ahmed Nasiru Sada (Rural and Social Development); and Hajiya Bilkisu Suleiman Ibrahim (Banking and Finance).
The event also honoured the immediate past Chief of Staff, Hon. Jabiru Abdullahi Tsauri, who has been appointed as the National Coordinator of the New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
Governor Radda charged the newly sworn in appointees to drive the state’s ‘Building Your Future’ strategic policy and deliver effective governance to the people of Katsina State.
The Governor also described Hon. Jabiru as, “a committed and resourceful brother and friend.”
While appreciating his service to the state, the Governor expressed optimism that the new NEPAD boss will live up to expectations in his new role.
