President Tinubu set to commission landmark projects in Enugu

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will make his first official visit to Enugu State on Saturday, January 4, 2025, to commission a range of projects executed by Governor Peter Mbah’s administration.

The Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Chidiebere Onyia, disclosed this in a statement on Friday in Enugu, describing the visit as a significant milestone for the state.

“The Enugu State Government is happy to announce the first state visit to the state by the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on Saturday, January 4, 2025,” Onyia said.

The president will inaugurate several completed projects, including 30 state-of-the-art Enugu Smart Green Schools, part of a broader initiative to construct 260 such schools across the state. He will also commission 60 equipped Type 2 Primary Healthcare Centres out of the 260 under construction, as well as the newly completed multi-auditorium and multi-functional Enugu International Conference Centre.

Other projects slated for inauguration include 90 completed urban roads within Enugu City, a state-of-the-art Command and Control Centre, and 150 patrol vehicles equipped with AI-embedded surveillance cameras. Tinubu will also commission various completed rural roads during his one-day visit.
