Sasha P blasts Nigeria’s wealth obsession

Veteran Nigerian rapper Anthonia Yetunde Alabi, popularly known as Sasha P, has voiced concerns over what she described as an unhealthy obsession with wealth in the country.

The 41-year-old music icon lamented that Nigerians now place significant value on wealth, often treating affluent individuals like deities.

“Money does not determine a person’s character; rather, it amplifies it,” she emphasized, highlighting the need for societal reevaluation of how people’s worth is assessed.

Sasha P also criticized the growing tendency to respond to affronts by questioning someone’s financial status, describing the trend as unbecoming and detrimental to the nation’s values.
