The National Security Adviser (NSA), Malam Nuhu Ribadu, and Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, have been named among the 100 Most Reputable Africans for 2025.
The list, released on Sunday by Reputation Poll International (RPI) in partnership with the Global Reputation Forum, features notable Nigerians and other African leaders celebrated for their exceptional achievements and influence.
The honorees span diverse sectors, including technology, creative industries, sports, public service, academia, and environmental advocacy.
Ribadu was recognised for his leadership in bolstering Nigeria’s security framework. His efforts have fostered greater synergy among the military, security, and intelligence agencies, leading to several successful rescues of kidnapped victims in northern Nigeria.
“This is a celebration of African excellence and a call to recognise those shaping the future of the continent with their unwavering commitment to progress and innovation,” the organisers said on their website.
Honorees were selected for their significant local and global influence, ethical leadership, and contributions to transformative initiatives. The process emphasised integrity, societal impact, and recognition within their respective fields.
The roll of honour also includes Dr Paul Enenche, founder of Dunamis International Gospel Church; Mr Cosmos Maduka, Chairman of Coscharis Motors; and Senator Gbemisola Saraki.
While Enenche and Adeboye have appeared on the list in previous years, Dr Daniel Olukoya, founder of the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, is a first-time honoree.
Other distinguished Nigerians on the list include Bala Wunti, Group General Manager of National Petroleum Investment Management Services (NAPIMS); Mr Tony Elumelu, Chairman of the United Bank for Africa (UBA); and songwriter and worship singer Osinachi Egbu, popularly known as “Sinach.”
Nigerian-born British politician Olukemi Badenoch, serving as the Leader of Opposition and Leader of the Conservative Party since November 2024, also made the list.
Prominent African leaders honoured include Ghana’s President-elect John Mahama, Afrexim Bank President Benedict Oramah, and Sudanese-British billionaire Mo Ibrahim.
Other honorees spotlighted for their contributions include Isatou Ceesay of Gambia, recognised for her advocacy in climate resilience and women’s empowerment, and Karen Matsiko of South Africa, celebrated for her leadership in finance and corporate governance.
Former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr Jennifer Douglas of Miyetti Law Firm, and Ogiame Atuwatse, the Olu of Warri, have previously been recognised.
