Olalekan Zachariah Agbaje, professionally known as Hurlarstringz, has emerged as one of the most quietly influential guitarists within the African diaspora music space, marking a journey that began in 2015 and has now matured into an international brand officially launched in 2025.

Rooted deeply in church music, Hurlarstringz’s career was inspired by a generational shift within the worship community. As seasoned instrumentalists began transitioning into international commitments, a gap was created—one that demanded new leadership, discipline, and musical excellence from younger talents. Hurlarstringz stepped into that space with purpose, carrying forward a sound shaped by gospel foundations and global influences.

Inspired by the artistry of Agboola Sadare, George Benson, Asa, and the legendary BB King, his guitar language blends soul, jazz, blues, and African rhythmic sensitivity. Born in Lagos State on September 24, 1988, and a native of Owo town in Ondo State, his musical journey was foretold early through a church prophecy that led him into the choir and, eventually, to mastering multiple instruments before committing fully to the lead guitar.

Over the years, Hurlarstringz has performed across major cultural and music platforms in the United Kingdom, including Unsung Heroes by the African Diaspora Foundation (Milton Keynes), Christmas & Cultural Gala in Plymouth, and the Diaspora Business & Musicians Network in London, among others. His upcoming headline event, Dance of David (DOD), scheduled for January 24, 2026, in London, marks a defining moment in his brand’s evolution.

With over 10 songs currently available on Spotify and a growing calendar of international festival appearances, Hurlarstringz continues to represent a bridge between faith-based musicianship and global cultural expression.
