Renowned Nollywood actress Akinyanju Arike, famously known as Eyinju Eledumare, has taken to Instagram to vent her frustrations about the alleged hypocrisy within the Yoruba movie industry.
In a fiery post, the usually calm actress called out an unnamed individual whom she had publicly celebrated, only for the person to privately acknowledge her gesture while ignoring her post publicly.
This act, which she claims has become a recurring issue, prompted her to issue a stern rebuke.
Eyinju Eledumare criticized her colleagues for what she described as dubious behavior. She expressed her discontent with those who fail to openly acknowledge her support due to fear of backlash from others.
In her post, she stressed that her public commendations are genuine and not motivated by a desire for friendship or closure.
“Posting you and writing how I feel about you doesn’t mean I want closure. I am not famzing anybody, I am not looking forward to being your friend… I learn to express how I feel about people in a positive light without motives,” she wrote.
The actress further warned against behind-the-scenes appreciation, urging individuals to either acknowledge her posts publicly or request their removal if they have reservations.
She slammed those who interact with her posts hypocritically or avoid engaging with her altogether due to prior grievances.
Eyinju Eledumare concluded her post with a strong warning: “This one no be meme or post to delete. You move anyhow, you see anyhow ooo. Unah too dey push person.”
