Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called for enhanced intra-African trade and collaboration, emphasising the continent’s potential to drive its own development.
Speaking after a meeting with Rwandan President Paul Kagame on the eve of the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, Tinubu expressed optimism about Africa’s future, urging leaders to unite for the benefit of their citizens and the continent.
Tinubu, who shared details of the meeting via his official social media handle, highlighted the need for African nations to harness their abundant resources and human capital.
“Africa has what it takes to develop itself. We have the resources, the people, and the capacity,” he said.

“We must look inward to improve intra-African trade and collaboration to benefit the African people and the continent. The time for Africa is now.”
