State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom, a global leader in nuclear energy technology exports, has issued a statement condemning sanctions by the United States, targeting its management, calling them both unfounded and unlawful.
The U.S. had on Wednesday announced sanctions on over 250 individuals and entities linked to enabling President Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine.
The U.S. said the designations also encompassed subsidiaries of the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom.
But Rosatom hits back on Thursday, saying the these sanctions were a form of unfair competition, imposed by nations deemed unfriendly by the U.S.
In its statement, Rosatom emphasized that despite facing increasing sanctions over the past three years, the company has successfully adapted to the pressures, ensuring that it continued to fulfill all commitments to its partners.
The company expressed its readiness to navigate any challenges that might arise, maintaining its position at the forefront of the nuclear energy industry.
Rosatom’s representatives reiterated that the company remaines fully operational and continues to meet the demands of its international partners without disruption.
