Sanwo-Olu mourns with K1 De Ultimate on mother’s death

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has extended his heartfelt condolences to Fuji music legend King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 De Ultimate, following the death of his mother, Alhaja Halima Shadiya Anifowoshe.

Alhaja Anifowoshe peacefully died on Saturday at the age of 105.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Gboyega Akosile, Governor Sanwo-Olu urged K1 and the family to take solace in the legacy of their matriarch and honor her memory.

“On behalf of my family, the State Government, and the people of Lagos State, I sympathize with the Nigerian Fuji legend, K1 De Ultimate, on the demise of his beloved mother and matriarch of the family, Alhaja Halima Shadiya Anifowoshe,” the Governor stated.

He described Alhaja Anifowoshe as a pillar of support who played a great role in her son’s illustrious career, offering prayers and encouragement throughout his journey.

“It is no doubt that Alhaja Anifowoshe lived a fulfilled life at age 105 and witnessed her children and grandchildren achieve great success. While we mourn her transition, we also thank God for a life well spent,” Sanwo-Olu said.

The Governor prayed for comfort for the family and loved ones, as well as eternal rest for the deceased.
