Divorce: Was 2Face’s account truly hacked?

In a bewildering sequence of events, the marriage of Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, affectionately known as 2Face, and talented actress Annie Macaulay-Idibia, has been thrust into the spotlight again, leaving fans and followers utterly perplexed.

The drama unfolded on Sunday when a shocking announcement of divorce was posted on 2Face’s Instagram account.

The statement, which sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, read: “Hello to my beautiful people of all federations. I and Annie Macaulay have been separated for a while now, and currently filed for divorce.”

However, in a stunning reversal, the post was hastily deleted mere minutes after it went viral.

2Face subsequently issued a statement claiming that his account had been hacked and that efforts were underway to regain control. “My Instagram account has been hacked, efforts are being carried out to take back control #onelove!” he wrote.

This fresh statement, however, raised more questions than answers, with many of 2Face’s followers expressing skepticism about the hacking claim.

“You’re about to get the Instagram account back, how were you able to write on the same Instagram that the account was hacked?” one follower queried.

As the drama continued to unfold, concerns were raised about Annie’s well-being, with one follower writing: “My own concern is please, if you’re close to Annie, please check on the girl. Her sanity is our priority.”

Meanwhile, several of the couple’s followers took to the comment section to express relief that the divorce announcement might be false.

Nollywood actress Omoborty wrote: “Thank you, Jesus. I too love Annie. Don’t just know why.” Iyabo Ojo, on the other hand, laid curses on the alleged hackers.

As the situation continues to unfold, fans and followers of the couple remain on edge, eagerly awaiting further clarification on the status of 2Face and Annie’s marriage.
