By KazeeThe Lagos State Taskforce has intensified its crackdown on criminal activities, clearing out hoodlums and miscreants from Obalende and the TBS Bus Terminal following persistent complaints from residents and transport authorities.

The Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA) had raised concerns over criminals turning the TBS Bus Terminal into a hideout for illicit activities, prompting urgent intervention by the Taskforce.

In a swift night operation on Saturday, Taskforce operatives led by Chairman CSP Adetayo Akerele stormed the area and apprehended 22 suspected criminals found in possession of harmful weapons and hard drugs.

These suspects had allegedly been using the terminal as a base to launch attacks on commuters and residents.

CSP Akerele reaffirmed the Lagos State Government’s commitment to public safety and law enforcement, warning that anyone involved in criminal activities would face the full force of the law.
