President Bola Tinubu has felicitated veteran journalist, politician, and community leader, Prince Bayo Osiyemi, on his 75th birthday, recognising his enduring contributions to Lagos and Nigeria.

Fondly called the “Charming Prince,” Osiyemi has had a distinguished career spanning journalism, politics, and public service.

He served as Chairman of Mushin Local Government, an editor of a leading newspaper, and Chief Press Secretary to Lagos State’s first civilian governor, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, between 1979 and 1983.

President Tinubu highlighted Osiyemi’s role as a pillar of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Mushin and his steadfast dedication to democracy and Lagos’ development.

As Mushin council chairman, Osiyemi set the foundation for growth, while his tenure as Special Adviser on Chieftaincy Matters under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu strengthened ties between the government and traditional rulers.

Recognising his impact on media and governance, Tinubu celebrated the septuagenarian’s legacy and prayed for his continued good health and fulfilment.

“May the Almighty grant him many more years of vitality, joy, and inspiration,” the president said.
