Global superstar Shakira lit up the Grammy stage, not just with her presence but with an emotional and empowering acceptance speech that resonated with millions.
The Colombian icon, who has long used her platform to uplift others, dedicated her award to immigrants and hardworking women striving for a better life.
“I want to dedicate this award to all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country. You are loved, you are worth it, and I will always fight with you,” Shakira declared, earning thunderous applause from the crowd and an outpouring of love online.
She also paid tribute to women balancing work and family, calling them the “true she-wolves” in a nod to her hit song She Wolf. “So this is for you too,” she added, reinforcing her admiration for their resilience.
In a touching moment, Shakira turned to her sons, Milan and Sasha, who were in attendance. “I want to share this award with my kids. I’m so proud of you guys, of your kind hearts. Thank you for supporting me the way you do. I love you.”
