In a bid to foster economic growth and support small businesses, the Toyin Amuzu Foundation (TAF) has empowered 100 female entrepreneurs in Abeokuta South Local Government Area of Ogun State through free business name registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
Speaking in Abeokuta, Chief Toyin Amuzu, a former House of Representatives candidate under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), described the initiative as a strategic effort to boost local businesses, enhance economic opportunities, and create jobs within the community.
“This initiative is a non-profit, non-governmental, and non-political effort by the Toyin Amuzu Foundation aimed at improving the lives of our people in Egbaland,” Amuzu stated.
He highlighted the foundation’s track record in philanthropy, which includes interest-free loans for small and medium-scale enterprises, water projects for communities, and various empowerment programs for youths and women.
With this latest initiative, Amuzu emphasized that TAF is deepening its commitment to economic development by providing entrepreneurs with the necessary tools to formalize their businesses and access growth opportunities.
“We are not stopping here. We will also provide Point of Sale (POS) machines for the 100 beneficiaries in Abeokuta South to further support their businesses,” he added.
As Nigeria continues to tackle economic challenges, interventions like the Toyin Amuzu Foundation’s initiative serve as a model for private-sector-driven empowerment, demonstrating how strategic support can drive economic resilience and growth.
