The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has revealed how it recovered 125 stolen manhole covers in the area.
The command in a statement by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josphine Adeh, said the latest recovery was made on February 4, 2025 and it followed intelligence-led operations in the Dei-Dei area.
She said that this was made possible after a tip-off through from an informant.
She said: “We will not relent in our search for stolen public assets. Our operatives are intensifying efforts to locate and dismantle illegal warehouses and storage sites where vandals may be stockpiling stolen infrastructure. The FCT must be free from the grip of these criminal elements.”
