Applicants have found it impossible to access the recruitment portal of the  Federal Civil Service Commission since it announced job vacancies two weeks ago.

The Commission had in a statement by its Head of Press and Public Relations, Taiwo Hassan on January 27, said it was receiving applications for various vacancies in the Federal Civil Service.

The statement said that those who were eligible and interested should visit the commission’s  recruitment portal to apply for any position they choose.

The statement had said:  “Eligible applicants are to apply for only one position via the application link: https://recruitment.fedcivilservice.gov.ng. Applicants who are physically challenged should state the nature of their disability.

“All applications are to be submitted on or before Monday, 10th March, 2025.”

But most applicants have been complaining on social media that they have been unable to access the site. An X user Akinrotimi Emmanuel Olamide (@emm55694), said, “Since the day they posted this? Never been Open for one day, why all this deception for God’s sake? It is unfortunate that we are going through all this system that are not working?”

Another frustrated user, Freewill (@evegreeno), “This employment vacancy advert is a scam they don’t want the ordinary Nigeria to register that’s why the site can’t be reached for days now and no statement to address the challenges of why it’s difficult to access the site.”
“The sight has been down for days now, even at midnight,” said Tammy @Paradoxxyl.
P. M. News tried several times to access the portal on Monday but the site was not opening.
Meanwhile, Hassan says some people have successfully accessed the website. He advises applicants not to give up while saying the ICT department of the Commission has been notified.
