Supreme Court dismisses Fubara's suit against Rivers Assembly

Rivers governor Siminalayi Fubara and Speaker of Rivers Assembly Martins Amaewhule

The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed the appeal filed by Rivers governor, Siminalayi Fubara, challenging the the Martin Amaewhule led faction of the state House of Assembly.

A five-man panel of the Supreme Court in a unanimous judgement also awarded a cost of two million naira against Fubara.

The N2 million is payable to the Rivers State House of Assembly as the first respondent and Martin Amaewhule as the second respondent.
