Nigerian street singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has turned to God for help as he battles legal challenges.

Last week, the Ogun State government sealed his uncompleted building and hotel over alleged illegal development without an approval permit, detaining some of his customers and workers.

In response, Portable shared a video of himself in church, fervently praying for God’s intervention.

Following the incident, the singer canceled his London show, stating that protecting his family and properties was his priority. He assured fans that as long as he remained alive, he would have more opportunities to perform globally.

Over the weekend, Portable lamented the lack of appreciation from Ogun State despite his contributions, including installing streetlights and repairing roads. He also made an emotional appeal to President Bola Tinubu, asking him to intervene by urging Governor Dapo Abiodun to reconsider.

Adding to his woes, the singer publicly called out his father, accusing him of mismanaging funds meant to settle police matters related to the sealed property. He claimed his father abandoned him during his time of trouble and failed to support him when he needed help the most.
