Nigerian music legend Innocent “2Baba” Idibia has been declared missing, sending shockwaves through the entertainment industry.
His family, in a desperate plea to the Department of State Services (DSS), has called for an urgent investigation into his whereabouts after he vanished without a trace on February 10, 2025.
According to a petition received by the Punch and signed by the family’s lawyer, Wilson Anuge, the award-winning artist stepped out in his loungewear for his usual morning walk but never returned.
Despite frantic efforts by family, staff, and friends to contact him, all attempts have proved futile.
The situation took an even darker turn when several of 2Baba’s close associates received strange messages from his social media accounts requesting financial assistance.
Given his well-established financial independence, the family fears his identity may have been compromised—raising the chilling possibility of abduction and coercion.
“The implications of this situation are grave,” the petition read, as the family implored the DSS to intervene immediately.
Adding to the intrigue, a viral video surfaced on Thursday, allegedly showing 2Baba proposing to Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osaruwa, just hours after reports of his impending divorce from his wife, Annie Idibia.
While the authenticity of the footage remains unverified, it has only fueled speculation about his sudden disappearance.
