Nollywood actress Abiola Adebayo broke down in tears as she bid a final farewell to her mother, Mrs. Mojisola Nurat Adebayo, who was laid to rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
A video shared by Biola Bayo showed the actress weeping alongside other mourners at the graveside as her mother was committed to the earth.
Expressing her grief, she described her heartbreak and wished the pain would go away.
“My heart is shattered,” she wrote. “I wish this pain will go away now, but I know ALL IS WELL!”
A day before the burial, the actress released an official statement announcing her mother’s passing.
“With a heavy heart and complete submission to the will of Almighty Allah, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Mrs. Mojisola Nurat Adebayo Nee Adelakun, who departed this world on the evening of Tuesday, February 11, 2025,” the statement read.
Fondly known as Iya Wale or Ejoyin, the late Mrs. Adebayo was described as a woman who lived a remarkable 68 years filled with love, kindness, and wisdom. According to Biola Bayo, her mother was a pillar of strength who instilled patience, tolerance, and love in those around her.
“In accordance with Islamic rites, she was laid to rest on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. As we reflect on her impactful life, the family will hold the 8th Day Fidau prayers next week Wednesday to honor her memory,” she added.
