Fresh crisis have hit the camp of Sean “Diddy” Combs as his lawyer, Anthony Ricco, resigned from his legal team.

In a court filing submitted in New York on Friday, Ricco stated that he could no longer effectively represent Combs.

“Under no circumstances can I continue to effectively serve as counsel for Sean Combs,” Ricco stated.

The filing noted that Ricco had discussed his decision with lead counsel Mark Agnifilo before submitting the formal request to withdraw from the case.

Trouble started for Diddy after he was arrested in September 2024.

The American rapper was charged with racketeering conspiracy, sex trafficking, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

He has denied all allegations, pleaded not guilty, and is currently awaiting trial on May 5, 2025, while being held at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, New York.
