Despite everything, help has been scarce. “A lot of people have been wonderful, and two of my friends have been particularly helpful. Aside from that, it has just been God, myself, and the little help I’ve received recently,” she revealed.

Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has made a heartbreaking revelation about the silent battles she has been fighting, saying she does not want to die.

In an emotional interview with Punch on Saturday, the actress bared her soul, speaking on the pain, loneliness, and desperation that have plagued her journey.

“I knew I was getting serious,” she admitted, recalling a moment of deep reflection in her village where she questioned if that was how her life would end.

“What I am going through has not been easy. It is something that steals one’s happiness and fills the heart with anger. But I have to keep pushing, keep believing that this won’t last forever.”

For years, Abubakar has endured struggles that she has now found the courage to speak about.

“I had to find the strength to go public. I don’t know how, but I just had to do it. A closed mouth is a closed destiny, and I’m not ready to die. How would people know I need help if I don’t speak out?” she said, her voice heavy with emotion.

Despite everything, help has been scarce. “A lot of people have been wonderful, and two of my friends have been particularly helpful. Aside from that, it has just been God, myself, and the little help I’ve received recently,” she revealed.

However, her decision to open up has not been without criticism.

“The people calling me a liar are a few Nollywood people—don’t mind them. They are from my industry. But I don’t care about that,” she said defiantly.
